Fuligo rufa

Fuligo rufa is a rare species and can be distinguished from the much more common Fuligo septica by the terra-cotta orange or red-brown colours of the mature aethalia. More than a dozen aethalia were found on piles of wood chips close to the amenity site. The wood chips may have been imported from elsewhere in the UK, so Fuligo rufa may not be indiginous to Clyne Wood.
