This species feeds on fungi and is usually found on, or adjacent to, the remains of bracket fungi on dead wood. Sometimes the bright yellow plasmodium can be seen as it moves along dead branches. Badhamia utricularis is common in Clyne Wood and is most often found in the Winter.
